Could well be that he has an ear piece. But the back of his jacket looks more like a bullet proof vest.
Cant remember where I read that but it is plausible. Why would they put a gadget in such an obvious place, rather than, say, taped to the space between his legs where most men have testicles?

David -- surely if it was a bullet proof vest they'd just admit it? I can't believe they made his tailor make a statement about it!
The crotch would certainly be a more appropriate place for the radio gear. It would give a whole new meaning to that idea that men only think with their dicks...
